Species description: Dawn redwood is a deciduous, coniferous tree native to China. Soft feathery foliage emerges light green, then deep green, and finally red-bronze in the fall. Once developed, the bark will display deep fissures and fluting of the trunk. A quick growing tree, this species heals scars very quickly and responds well to pruning, making it a great pick for bonsai.

Watering requirements: Keep moist, do not let fully dry.
