It’s a sarracenia rubra variety well-suited to collectors who want a compact, dramatic specimen with reliable pitcher production and seasonal color variation.
Size: Typically medium-sized for S. rubra forms; mature pitchers generally range from 8 to 18 inches depending on growing conditions and clone vigor.
Light requirements: Full sun
Watering requirements: Keep moist sitting in a tray of water outside, never allowing to dry out.
Temperature & Humidity: Hardy to cool winters depending on area; many S. rubra types tolerate light frosts and benefit from a winter dormancy. Ideal growing temperatures: daytime 70–85°F and nighttime 50–65°F . High humidity (50%+) is beneficial but not strictly required if air circulation is good.
