About: Native to Colorado, this beautiful perennial wildflower blooms in shades of blue and purple that appear to change with the day’s sunlight in spring. A personal favorite in the garden, this flower adds a striking tall 2’ backdrop for any border.

Planting: When dormant, plant in the ground any time of year, or overwinter properly. Dig a hole twice the size of the pot, backfill with soil, gently press the new soil surrounding the plant and water thoroughly. Add mulch for added winter protection, moisture retention and to amend the soil. Water regularly during the first grow season to help the plant establish.
